Wow! Smart TV Fever Has Hit The Smartphone Makers
For many years, we’ve been stuck onto various brands for every technology. Now, this was transversal to everything….The smartphones are more integrated into our lifes.
Who knows the smartphones makers were going to launch TV services as well? And this is a new TV fever? What drives these manufacturers like Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus to bet on TVs?
Well, in reality, this is nothing new, at least for some. Nokia is itself already selling TVs in its home country and even before it ventured into smartphones. Samsung and LG have been doing this for a long time. Now what happens is, today’s reputable smartphone makers want to venture into the television business at the same time.
Let’s have a look at upcoming TV markets run by smartphone brands>>>
The Honor Vision was the first TV to be commercially available with the operating system OS Harmony Huawei. Now Huawei has also announced its own smart TV.
The Huawei Vision has a screen 4K Quantum Dot with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is available in 55 ″, 65 ″, 75 ″, and 85 ″ inches. However, only 65 ”and 75” models will be available for now. The other two sizes will come later. However, there is a Honghu smart chip inside Huawei’s AI Picture Quality Engine.
There is a motorized pop-up camera that Huawei calls AI-Eye similar to the one in Honor Vision Pro for video calling, face recognition and analysis, also comes with other systems to recognize body movements. This is especially useful for games.
The Huawei Vision has an intelligent 8 (speakers) + 1 (subwoofer) + 1 (refractor) sound system that ensures a professional 5.1 sound effect.
At the remote control level, Huawei has opted for remote control with a circular touchpad on top. The remote also has a power button, smart key and volume control buttons. Also, it connects to new Huawei equipment via Bluetooth 5.0. It is thin and comfortable to hold.
However, we have a Type-C USB port at the bottom to charge it. Huawei says we only need to charge it every three months. Huawei has not disclosed a price for Huawei Vision but will be available first in China. Only then does it reach other markets. A good choice among TV fever!
The Xiaomi Mi TV Pro has virtually no frames on all three sides except the bottom. It will also be the first TV to support 8K decoding. It has now been officially confirmed that the TV will have impressive specs.
Unlike most smart TVs that come with 1 GB of RAM + 8 GB of storage or 2 GB of RAM + 16 GB of storage, the Xiaomi Mi TV Pro comes with 32 GB of storage, double the OnePlus Q1 TV and Motorola Smart TVs. That is, we have a real bomb here! This device will be powered by the Amlogic T972 12-bit 64-bit processor. The processor has a 63% performance improvement and a 55% reduction in power consumption.
The Mi TV Pro will be available in 43 ”, 55” and 65 ”sizes. It has an anodized aluminum alloy frame, 3D carbon fiber back and an aluminum base. At the software level, it should come with Xiaomi’s PatchWall interface. It also comes with XiaoAI virtual assistant.
Also in the fever of OnePlus TVs will announce two TVs – OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro. It seems that the two differ in screen size, design, and audio output.
The OnePlus TV Q1 will come with a 55-inch QLED screen, while the Q1 Pro will have a 65-inch QLED screen. Both are 4K panels with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a 16: 9 aspect ratio. The spec sheet states that TVs have a refresh rate of 100 Hz, up to 90 local dimming zones and a 178 ° viewing angle. HDR 10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Digital are also supported.
OnePlus TV Q1 is said to have a 20-watt speaker. However, OnePlus will also release a soundbar for those who want better audio output. Already the Q1 Pro will have a 50-watt speaker, integrated into the base of the TV as a soundbar. Both TVs will have a MediaTek MT5670 processor that adds up to 2.5 GB of RAM.
However, 16 GB of storage is still present. There is also a Gamma Color Magic image processor. The leak reveals that the TVs will run OxygenOS TV over the Android TV system and have Chromecast built-in, along with support for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and Audio.
In terms of connectivity, the OnePlus TV is very well served. Thus there are 3 HDMI ports including HDMI ARC, 2 USB ports, 1 RJ45 port, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi. There is also an S / PDIF port and analog audio output. However, the TV also has a TV tuner and is VESA-compatible for wall mounting.
OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro can cost around 900 Euros. However, this is a premium product and as such, it would not come cheap.
Motorola TV is a different case from others as it will only be available in India. It will be equipped with MEMC technology. This ensures a good viewing experience and also ensures that there will be no irregularities when playing. Motorola TV is expected to run Android 9 Pie TV OS and could be powered by the MediaTek chipset with Mali 450 graphics card.
Meanwhile, it is also said that the Motorola TV is equipped with a 30W DTS TruSurround Sound technology and Dolby Audio technology for a more immersive audio experience. Thus, the soundbar will have the company logo positioned in the center. The other three frames of the Motorola TV are relatively thin. Prices are not yet known, but there are some indications that it may not be a very economical product in the midst of television fever.
