Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha, Mi 9 5G, Mi TV Pro And MIUI 11 : Xiaomi Event Highlights 2019
Today, Xiaomi launched various products at an event in China. The smartphone manufacturer firstly announced MIUI 11 stable version. Alongside launched the next generation Xiaomi smartphones including the Mi MIX Alpha and Mi 9 5G. In addition to these smartphones and MIUI 11, Xiaomi well prepared in launching its first-ever bezeless smart TV under Mi branding. Not only these, Xiaomi introduced many products. As part of the presentation in China, Xiaomi introduced the flagship Mi 9 Pro 5G. This is an improved version of Mi 9, which has received many important improvements.
Inside, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ with support for all 5G networks and the ability to transfer data at speeds up to 1.78 Gb / s. It is supplemented by a liquid cooling system that allows the device to not overheat under high gaming loads.
In storage configurations, the amount of RAM was increased to 12 GB, and built-in – up to 512 GB. Next to that, Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G received a 4000 mAh battery and support for even faster charging. Wired power reaches 40 watts, which allows you to fully charge the battery in 48 minutes. The power of wireless charging has also been significantly increased – up to a record 30 watts. With it, you can replenish 100% of the battery in just 69 minutes. Reverse charging power is now 10 watts.
Among other improvements: a new focusing system for the main camera, a new vibration motor, and increased speaker volume. Externally, the smartphone does not differ from the original model, but it will be possible to recognize it by two new colors: mother-of-pearl and black. According to the manufacturer, in both versions, the rear panel practically does not collect fingerprints.
The price of the most affordable version of Mi 9 Pro 5G with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory is Rs.38,000. The top version with 12 and 512 GB will cost Rs.41,000.
Together with the Mi 9 Pro 5G, Xiaomi introduced the Mi MIX Alpha, its most unusual smartphone. It has a screen that covers not only the front panel but also the side faces and almost the entire back surface.
Only a triple camera on back remained, which serves both for ordinary shooting and for a selfie. In the latter case, the user can see themselves on the part of the display that covers the back panel.
The camera is based on the first 108MP photosensor with optical image stabilization. It allows you to take pictures with a resolution of 12032 × 9024 pixels. The second camera is a 12 megapixel “telephoto” for double optical zoom. The third 20MP sensor is designed for wide-angle shooting (117º). The camera is protected by sapphire crystal, and the strip with it is made of ceramic. The base of the case is made of durable titanium. A speaker for voice communication is built directly into the screen.
The flagship Snapdragon 855+ chip with a 5G modem is responsible for the performance of the Mi MIX Alpha. It is supplemented with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal (UFS 3.0). The battery has a capacity of 4,050 mAh and supports 40 W fast charging.
The price of the smartphone was about Rs.2,00,000. Such an impressive figure is due to the fact that the device is still a concept that will be sold in a limited edition.
Chinese Xiaomi also introduced the new generation of 4KTVs Mi Full Screen TV Pro. There are three models in the line with different screen sizes (43, 55 and 65 inches). All of them received the latest Amologic T972 processor: it is 63% more productive than the previous generation and allows you to play content in 8K.
The ratio of the screen size to the front panel is 97%, the resolution for all three models is 3840 × 2160 pixels. There is support for HDR 10, stereo speakers with Dolby Audio are responsible for the sound. The frame and stand are metal, and the back is made of textured Kevlar. The connectors are not stingy: three HDMI (one with ARC support), two USB and Ethernet.
Mi TV Pro can be used as a hub for a smart home. It receives information about all compatible devices, displays their status and available commands. There is also voice control – as well as the XiaoAI virtual assistant.
Xiaomi Mi Full Screen TV Pro is already available for pre-order in China, they will go on sale on September 27. The release of the international version has not yet been announced. The prices are as follows:

MIUI 11 also comes with AirDrop, an alternative to Mi Drop. Starting from September 27, everyone will be able to take part in the beta testing of the global version.

In the event, Xiaomi more likely introduced the U-Disk USB stick. It is fast, stylish, capacious enough, and also protected from moisture and dust.
The flash drive is very small and has a minimalistic design. A strap is attached to the edge, so the accessory can be worn in a bunch of keys. It is also convenient to pull the flash drive from the USB port by the strap.

Following the flagship Mi 9 Pro 5G and the conceptual smartphone Mi MIX Alpha, Xiaomi introduced allround wireless Air 2 headphones. The shape and case are very similar to Apple AirPods.
The main feature of the headphones was the support of the LHDC codec, which provides minimal signal delay and the highest sound quality. According to the manufacturer, in terms of detail and sound depth, the novelty is in no way inferior to high-quality wired headphones.
Xiaomi Air 2 received 14.2 mm emitters and two microphones with noise reduction for voice communication and interaction with smart assistants. It is also worth noting the new one-touch instant connection option, which will be available on Xiaomi smartphones with MIUI 11
